Overland (n): to travel a long distance over land
Fortunately the Oxford English Dictionary doesn't attempt to define "overlander" because we are a pretty diverse bunch! But all of us are united by the desire to experience, see, smell, hear and taste more of the world in which we live. And so it is that we are getting ready to head off at the end of May on another epic overland expedition - a 13-week Odyssey from Istanbul to Beijing, via Turkey, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and China in our custom-built overland truck, Penelope.
We are really looking forward to welcoming back four expedition members who have already travelled with Odyssey in Africa, and to introducing the rest of the group to the Odyssey style of overlanding. We hope you enjoy following all of our Exploration and Adventure here on the blog, and seeing plenty of great photos from our journey.
